North Crawford Elementary has begun its sixth year of a program called Champions of Learning. Champions of Learning was developed to build community within our school. It also provides a vehicle to educate students about and have them practice responsible citizenship. Elementary students are divided into multi-age groups, kindergarten through grade six. Each group is led by an elementary teacher and assisted by a high school student from the North Crawford National Honor Society. The multi-age groups provide an excellent opportunity for students and teachers of different grades to work together, and get to know each other better.
The groups meet once a month to participate in a planned activity related to the year’s theme. This year the theme is:
“Character Counts”
