SCHOOL BOARD COMMITTEES
The Board of Education has eight Standing Committees that discuss issues relative to their committee. The Committee may recommend action on particular issues to the Board of Education.
BOARD OF EDUCATION
The governing body of the North Crawford School District is the Board of Education. The Board of Education regularly meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the school's large group room. Special meetings of the Board may be held as needed. Agenda items need to be submitted to the District Administrator at least one week prior to the meeting. The meeting agenda is published in the Crawford County Independent when time permits. The legal posting can be found on the school doors, Royal Bank, and People's State Bank at least 24 hours prior to the meeting.

BOARD GOALS
The North Crawford School Board goes through an annual rigorous process to identify, develop, and adopt annual board goals. School board goals are data driven, using student assessment data, student, staff, and community engagement survey data, and district operational data.
School District Goals
By the end of the 2025-26 school year, the district will increase the percentage of students meeting or exceeding proficiency in both mathematics and reading by 10% as measured by district-level screeners or state assessments for each grade level. For grade levels where proficiency meets or exceeds 80%, the district will maintain or further enhance growth to ensure continued academic progress.
The North Crawford School District will improve communication and engagement to increase enrollment, community participation, and stakeholder engagement.
The North Crawford School District will develop a comprehensive staff retention plan by actively engaging our staff to understand key factors influencing staff retention and create effective strategies to improve it.
The North Crawford School District will develop a strategic financial plan to address current and future facilities and maintenance needs, as identified in the district’s 10-year Capital Improvement Plan.
