We've waited 21 long days, but the Ag room added some new "peeps" this week! Our chicks hatched and were well socialized with visitors this week!

First graders had a blast today with some hands on learning about the arctic, saltwater, and temperate deciduous forest habitats.

SCHOOL RECORD ALERT!! Records are meant to be broken, and that's exactly what Junior track and field athlete Gavin Tamling did recently. This past Saturday, at the State Indoor Meet at UW-Whitewater, Gavin broke the long-standing North Crawford shot put record for boys, by throwing 54' 2". This broke a 50-year record of 51'11", held by Jerry Campbell. Gavin wasn't satisfied with breaking a five decade record, and broke his own record last night at our home track meet, by throwing an incredible 56'10", We look forward to great things ahead for Gavin. #TrojanPride

On April 6th, during the first shoot of the spring trap season, Dakota Heister shot 25 out of 25, for her first round and received a patch. Each week the participants shoot 2 rounds, which consist of 25 clay pigeons each, for a total score of 50 for the week. Dakota's total score for the week was 47 out of 50. Great Job Dakota! Keep up the great work.

Students in Ms.Knutson's elementary AG class have been busy counting down to hatch day with excitement and anticipation for our incubated eggs to hatch! We've made calendars and candled the eggs to check out the developing baby chicks! 🐤🐣

Most of you by now have noticed the Road Closure signs posted along Highway 131. The road will remain open to local traffic, meaning that families will still be able to travel Hwy 131 to get your children back and forth to school. Likewise, the road construction will not alter our bus routes at this time. Once the repaving project begins in our area, you will notice lane closures, resulting in single lane travel for stretches of Hwy 131. We do not expect that to start in our area until later this summer. As with any construction project, plans can always change. We will be prepared and communicate to our families in the event that this project negatively impacts our families' ability to travel to and from school, or impacts the timing of our bus routes. If you have specific questions on the Hwy 131 resurfacing project, please reach out directly to the Crawford County Highway Department, or by visiting the Wisconsin DOT website at https://projects.511wi.gov/wis131-wis60pleasant/.
