The Pfizer COVID vaccine has received conditional approval for use with ages 12 and up. The Crawford County Health Department will be at North Crawford on Thursday, May 20th to administer vaccines to any students 12 and older who wish to receive it. The second dose will then be administered here at school on Thursday, June 10th. If your child receives the first dose, please make sure they will be available for the second dose. If you are interested in your child receiving the vaccine, click the link below to print out the Consent Form. Fill it out, and send it back to school with your child on Friday. All Consent Forms need to be turned in by Friday at noon. There is also a link to an informational sheet on the Pfizer vaccine. They will not be accepting any walk-ins without prior consent, as there will not be extra doses. North Crawford FFA members hosted a farmer appreciation drive thru lunch today! Local farmers were provided a Subway lunch box and beverage along with a thank you note made by elementary students as a small gesture of thanks for their hard work!
Today, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) launched a new webpage dedicated to connecting parents and guardians with resources to support their family’s health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webpage includes information from medical experts on risk factors for severe illness in children, possible long-term effects of COVID-19, and tips on how to protect children from the virus. There are also printable resources covering topics such as mental health, preventative care services, COVID-19 vaccine information for children, and other tools to help keep families safe and healthy.

The Crawford County Public Health Department is anticipating the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to be authorized by the FDA for children age 12 and older later this week. For parents who are interested in getting their student age 12 and older vaccinated for COVID-19, please see the attached information sheet and sign up form, and return the form to the school nurse or the health dept by 5/10. Parents who want to be vaccinated can fill out a form too. If enough sign up, we will hold a vaccination clinic here at the school. We encourage you to speak with your child's medical practitioner with any questions about the vaccine. You can also speak with the public health dept. or the school nurse. These forms can also be viewed on the school website document page in the School Nurse folder or contact the school nurse.

A couple of our spring athletic teams begin their season tonight. The baseball and softball teams will open their season today hosting conference rival Wauzeka-Steuben here at home. First pitches will be at 5:00 p.m. Because the events are outdoors, we are recommending that spectators maintain 6 feet of distance, and if they're not able to maintain a safe distance, wearing masks is recommended. Please help us maintain a safe environment for all of our athletes and spectators.
