The North Crawford School District is actively pursuing adults of all ages to join our team of educators as a volunteer. This is an opportunity for you to have a positive impact on kids, with the flexibility to work when you’re able, and in an area that you’re comfortable.
The district is looking for volunteers to work with kids and staff in the following areas.
-Reading one-on-one and in small groups with kids
-Assisting kids in math and other academic areas
-Preparing fresh fruits and vegetables for our Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program
-Helping serve breakfast and lunch to our students
-Coordinate games or activities during recess
-Performing light cleaning duties inside and around the building
-Assist with the school garden
Please contact the District Office for a Volunteer Application. Once the application is filled out and approved, a North Crawford staff member will contact you directly to get started.
NCSD will be hosting Parent/Teacher Conferences on Tuesday and Wednesday this week, from 4:00-7:30 p.m. Middle and High School are drop in conferences. Elementary are scheduled conferences. Stop in to see your child's teachers.

Today we celebrated Great Lakes Great Apple Crunch Day. Why do we crunch? We Crunch to celebrate National Farm to School Month, to support our local farmers, and to connect students with delicious foods! Special thanks to Sunrise Orchard for the generous apple donation!
Next Week (Oct. 14-18) the North Crawford Cafe will be celebrating National School Lunch Week. Every day that a student has a school lunch they can enter their name in a drawing for fun prizes! We have a special menu planned to celebrate! Tuesday we have added Frozen Yogurt Cups. Wednesday Fruit Slush Cups and on Thursday High School is having a special meal of Sweet & Sour Chicken, Rice, Egg Roll and Fortune Cookie! It will be a great week in the Cafe!

As of this morning the North Crawford Cafe has served 3,652 breakfasts since the start of the school year! Today we had the honor of players from the Varsity Football Team to serve. Yesterday Cross Country served, but we didn't get a picture. Go Trojans!!
