🍁 Fall vibes are in full swing in our school kitchen this morning! 🍎🍂 Our students enjoyed a delicious, scratch-made Apple Cranberry Muffin Bake, made with fresh Wisconsin apples and cranberries and topped with a whole grain muffin crust. 5th graders in Mr. BJ’s WIN group have been diligently working on their creative writing! Ask them about their scary stories, fantasy stories, and stories about mysterious keys :)

Our 8th graders have been hard at work learning the basics of welding this week! Under the guidance of their instructor, they are gaining hands-on experience with welding equipment, safety procedures, and creating their first welds. This hands-on learning opportunity is a great way for students to explore potential career paths and develop practical skills they can build on in the future. We're so proud of their enthusiasm and progress!

It's been a busy start to the week for FFA members! Participating in the Apple Fest parade, attending Fall Leadership Workshop, and heading bright and early Tuesday morning to World Dairy Expo!

Our middle school students continue to make a positive impact in our community! Each month, they volunteer in Gays Mills with Second Harvest, helping to support local families in need. This past week, one of our 8th-grade sections dedicated their time to this important cause. We're so proud of their hard work and commitment to giving back!

50 10th-12th grade students had the opportunity to attend the Wisconsin Education Fair held in La Crosse on Monday! Students attended several career sessions and had the opportunity to talk with over 70 colleges!

NHS is partnering with Connect Communities and will host FREE games at Lions Park in Gays Mills on Saturday from 9:45 am to about 2 pm. NHS accepts free-will donations and non-perishable food items for the Food4Kids program for this event. #Applefest #TrojanPride

Our 4th graders have been hard at work in math class this year, diving into exciting topics like area, multiplication, multiples, factors, prime and composite numbers, and fractions! With our new Illustrative Mathematics curriculum, students engage in hands-on activities and collaborative math talks that help bring these concepts to life. It’s amazing to see their problem-solving skills in action and how they’re supporting each other as they learn and grow together! 8th Graders are building circuits in parallel and programming lights using Arduino boards in computer science today! Yesterday they built circuits in series.

The third graders enjoyed a tea party today as a celebration for the end of our first CKLA unit: Classic Tales. We read excerpts from several classic tales throughout this unit including The Wind in the Willows, Aladdin and the Wonderful Lamp, and Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. We had a wonderful time practicing our best manners -- there were no Mad Hatters at our tea party!
