Third Graders in Ms. Duncan's room were working in small groups and partners to read a chapter and answer the 5Ws (who, what, where, when, why and then how), to ultimately learn to effectively summarize a story to include the most important information. Mrs. Bearrows, our Reading Specialist / Instructional Coach has been coming in to help support small groups of students by reinforcing foundational reading skills and also helping to stretch their thinking. The 3rd graders have been working hard to master working in groups and partnerships. We love to celebrate their hard work!
