Today, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) launched a new webpage dedicated to connecting parents and guardians with resources to support their family’s health and wellbeing during the COVID-19 pandemic. The webpage includes information from medical experts on risk factors for severe illness in children, possible long-term effects of COVID-19, and tips on how to protect children from the virus. There are also printable resources covering topics such as mental health, preventative care services, COVID-19 vaccine information for children, and other tools to help keep families safe and healthy. https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/covid-19/parents.htm

On Wednesday, May 12 at 5:30 the Spring Showcase will feature the 2021 State Solo & Ensemble performances. There will be no in-person attendance for this event. It will be livestreamed on NC's Facebook page. Check back on Wednesday at 5:25 for the link.

The Crawford County Public Health Department is anticipating the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine to be authorized by the FDA for children age 12 and older later this week. For parents who are interested in getting their student age 12 and older vaccinated for COVID-19, please see the attached information sheet and sign up form, and return the form to the school nurse or the health dept by 5/10. Parents who want to be vaccinated can fill out a form too. If enough sign up, we will hold a vaccination clinic here at the school. We encourage you to speak with your child's medical practitioner with any questions about the vaccine. You can also speak with the public health dept. or the school nurse. A couple of our spring athletic teams begin their season tonight. The baseball and softball teams will open their season today hosting conference rival Wauzeka-Steuben here at home. First pitches will be at 5:00 p.m. Because the events are outdoors, we are recommending that spectators maintain 6 feet of distance, and if they're not able to maintain a safe distance, wearing masks is recommended. A reminder to North Crawford families that Wednesday is a staff development day, meaning there is no school for students.

North Crawford will be proctoring the ACT Aspire state assessment to all 9th and 10th grade students this Thursday here at school. Students need to make sure they have their Chromebooks charged and at school with them that day for testing. #TrojanPride

Hey Trojan football fans. If you are planning on attending tonight's middle school football game in Ithaca, or Friday night's varsity football game in Wonewoc, there will be no bleacher seating for spectators. Fans who wish to sit and watch the game should bring their own chairs. #TrojanPride

Hartig Drug has many, many doses of Pfizer vaccine that are going to expire on Friday 4/16. Grant County Health Department is reaching out to schools in our area hoping to have this information passed on to families with students aged 16 and older. The vaccine is available at their Lancaster, Platteville, Fennimore and Prairie du Chien locations. To make an appointment they should visit hartigdrug.com and select a location.
