We are proud to partner with Waterford Upstart to give the gift of learning and confidence to young children. Waterford Upstart is a free early-learning program that helps children build reading skills before kindergarten, so they can be confident in the classroom on day one! A free laptop can be provided through Upstart to families without access to one for their child.

Good Evening NC families, a note from the school nurse:
A GI illness (stomach flu) is currently making its way through our families in the district as we have had several students out the past few days of school. It appears to last only a day or so but appears to quite contagious. We have not received any lab confirmed diagnosis but it presents very similar to the norovirus. GI viral illnesses are spread by contact not respiratory droplet, meaning that in order to get sick you need to get the virus in your mouth. Our maintenance crew is working hard to complete extra cleaning on high touch areas. We want to remind families that our return policy for students with diarrhea/vomiting/fever of unknown cause is the symptoms need to be resolved for 24 hours before they can return to school. Meaning if your student vomited during the evening, they need to stay home that following day. According to the WI DHS, if it is norovirus, they recommend returning 48 hours after symptoms as an infected individual may still pass the virus up to 48 hours after symptoms end. Also, the use of soap and water is recommended as hand sanitizers are not as effective against norovirus. As always, contact your medical provider with any questions or concerns. Attached is a link to the WI DHS for more information on the norovirus: https://www.dhs.wisconsin.gov/foodborne/norovirus.htm

Good Morning NC families,
We are excited to be able to offer dental services again this year! The company providing the care has changed but the dental hygienist remains the same. Due to the change in company, any families of students preK-12th grade that wish to have their student receive preventative dental care right here at school will need to complete the form below and send it to the school nurse. The form can also be found in the school nurse folder of the documents tab on the school website. We would like these to be turned in by next week so we can plan our clinic dates.
