We would like to pass on that on Friday, October 23rd, Crawford County will be holding a county wide clean sweep that will included prescription drug collection. To prevent accidental ingestion, misuse or abuse of prescriptions, it is very important to dispose of any unused prescriptions drugs. It is that time of year where letters have been sent out to families who have students that are behind on their required immunizations. State law requires that a student receive at least the minimum required immunizations for the grade level that the student is entering or file a waiver with the school by filling out the Student Immunization Record. Failure to do so may result in a student being excluded from school according to state law. Please note that our intentions are not focused on punitive measures but rather helping you to make informed decisions on your student's health and complying with the state requirements. I am fully aware that most students will not get caught up by the 30th day of school. Instead I ask that you contact me to share your intentions on complying with the state requirements. I am very happy to answer any questions you may have about the law and about vaccines in general. The " Immunization Record Form" and the list of required vaccines are located on the school website under Menu -Documents-School Nurse-Immunizations. We will be holding another flu clinic in the next two weeks for those who missed our first two. The date we pick will be determined on how many students sign up. For those who already turned a consent form in, I have those and your student will receive a flu shot. Those who did not submit one but would like to, please print one out from this link:https://5il.co/kxse and send it to school. If you are unable to print, please call 608-624-5201 ext 236 and I will send one home with your student. I need to know by tomorrow, Wednesday Oct 14, so I can coordinate with the Crawford County Public Health Department and we can get the correct amount ordered. If you student is not in school the day we pick, I will be keeping extras and can administer the vaccine when they are in school next.
Good Evening MS VB Parents, Due to the County downgrading to Phase 1 last week, and the increase in cases in our immediate area, administration feels that we need to move back to not allowing spectators at our home events. We will play Thursday evening in the large gym and livestream for you. Thanks for understanding, We will keep you posted going forward.

The North Crawford School District has been made aware of two positive COVID cases, one at the middle school and one at the high school. Neither case will result in any additional students or staff being placed on quarantine. Any direct contacts outside of school with either case should have been contacted directly by the county health department. We would like to remind everyone of the importance of contacting the school district immediately if your child or any other family members are experiencing COVID-like symptoms. It's important that we're aware of these situations to help mitigate the risk for everyone and to recommend an appropriate response. Stay safe.
We are excited to share that the USDA has extended free meals for the entire 2020-2021 school year. Meals are available for any child, age 18 and younger. Taking free school meals supports the community and supports the school nutrition program. More meals served = more school funding. More school funding = even more students served. Supporting school meals provides your family with nutritious fruits, veggies, whole grains, and more, lowers your grocery bill, and reduces meal prep stress. Below is the link to sign-up for meals for the week of October 21-27. Meals may be picked up on Tuesday, October 20th, from 5:00-7:00 pm curbside at the elementary entrance.
