Congratulations to the boys varsity football team. With their 38-6 victory tonight over Wonewoc-Center/Weston, they are the outright Ridge and Valley West 8 Conference Champions!! This is football's first conference championship since 2013, and only the 8th conference championship for football in NC history, joining teams from 1982, 1983, 1984, 1997, 2004, 2005, and 2013. It is also believed that this may be the first team in school history to finish the regular season undefeated. The Trojans now wait to find out who their first playoff opponent will be. A perfect day in 2nd grade to enjoy some books with great friends! Our reading stamina is growing!

Last week, a group of high school students attended Construction Career Day at UW-Platteville. They learned about construction career fields like heavy equipment operation, plumbing, heating, electrical, ICF, and much more. In addition, they explored safety with fire extinguishers, fall protection harnesses, and grain bin rescue.

This 3rd grader worked hard on her math test with a little help from our therapy dog, Newton!

Football Game tonight STARTS at 4:00, NOT 7:00. Home.

Kindergarteners have been learning their letter sounds. They practiced spelling those sounds in shaving cream. It was so fun!

Yesterday, the third graders headed outside to do some bird watching as a part of our animal classification unit! We made many observations about the birds we saw: what they looked like, what they were doing, how they sounded, the size of their wings, etc. We have really enjoyed becoming animal researchers!

Don't forget to mark your calendars for our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conferences on October 19th! These conferences will be held from 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM and are open to parents of elementary, middle, AND high school students. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate and discover the amazing progress your child has made in class and to connect with their teachers. We look forward to seeing you there!
